for Insomnia  Part I<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cd66752 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4cd66752\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sleep is crucial not only because it allows our body to rest and to recharge, it also helps our body to heal, promotes a happier heart, stabilizes blood sugar and aids with weight management.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Whether your insomnia is caused by anxiety, stress, or any emotional or hormonal issues, below is a couple of fairly simple yoga poses that I hope could bring serenity to your mind and help calm your body mechanisms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Try these poses before bed, and with the right breathing, they could help prepare you for a restful sleep. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>If you are on any medications or have low or high blood pressure, you may want to consult a doctor or an experienced yoga teacher before these poses.<\/i><\/span><\/p><p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Standing Forward Bend<br \/><\/b><\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Breathe in raise your arms and breathe out slowly bend forward from the hips.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Bend your knees slightly to keep your hamstrings happy.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wrap your hands at the back of your heels or rest your hands on a block or on your shins (never on your knees or any joints) <\/span><\/li><li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hold opposite elbows and let gravity slowly stretch your neck, shoulders and head.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stay in this pose for a few breaths or breathe in to lift half way and breathe out to fold forward.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>To come out, hands on your hips and slowly lift up with the body, gently tones your abdominal muscles and enhances digestion.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This pose also strengthens the liver and kidneys and their detox functions; stimulates the parasympathetic system to calm the nervous system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Legs Up the Wall<\/b> \u2013my personal favourite because it\u2019s so easy to do and loaded with benefits!<br \/><\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Sit with bent knees, turn to one side and move your hips as close to a wall as possible.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Lift both legs up and adjust your hips closer to the wall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Option to use a pillow for your head or pelvis for support.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Deepen your breath by expanding your belly then your chest as you breathe in and empty your chest and then belly as you breathe out. <\/span><\/li><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Do this pose for five minutes to start and slowly work up to ten.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is normal for your legs\/feet to feel slight tingling sensation.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Focus on your breathing and try not to play with your smartphone!<\/i><\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It improves your lower limbs\u2019 circulation if you\u2019ve been sitting\/standing for a long time during the day. It reduces lower back tension; your lower back should feel nice and flat as your legs raised and supported.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
