Happy new year everyone! I hope you had a wonderful break with your family and loved ones. Whether you went away on a holiday, or used the time to catch up with family and friends, Christmas is always a good time to recharge, load up (on calories and booze) and soak in the festive mood.
The start of the new year is a good time to reflect, and reset our lives a little. Perhaps it is the guilt of letting loose a little too much over the holidays. But that is ok; it is all about checks and balances. What’s life without some occasional indulgences?
Heading to the gym always seems to be a very common go-to goal in January, then it dies down a little after February. What about New Year Resolutions? I always try to set one at the beginning of the year. It seems to serve as a compass for me, with something new or different to focus on. I try not to be too ambitious about it, otherwise it will become wishful thinking. Over the last few years, I have decided to pick up tennis again (and am now happily playing regularly), and learned a new language (still sticking with it). The sense of achievement is a great pat on my back (it is just as important to reassure yourself as well as others).
This year, my quest is to work on my journey of spreading the word on Health and Wellness to the GLOHS Community and beyond. I have been blessed with wonderful and like-minded contributors who are also doing the same in their fields of expertise. I am so blessed to have met them, and to be able to grow together in our missions.
Besides the blogs, we will start to organise events, talks and workshops. We will seek to offer a variety of topics and ideas that will appeal. If there are any topics or ideas that will appeal to you, please do share with us (firstname.lastname@example.org). It is by joining forces can we all grow together!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and positive 2020 filled with energy, laughter and love!
